I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the time to spend HOURS in the gym every day. Once you graduate to the real world and begin to work, have a family, and a hectic schedule, working out for hours on end will cease for 99% of people. What do most of us do when we can’t work out the way we once did?
Guess what? There’s no need to quit- There’s a better way to workout! A way that makes it “doable” for you and me to fit in a workout and maintain our fitness levels despite our crazy schedules!
Enter short, fat burning, metabolic workouts…
There has been so much research done that shows how utilizing short, intense workouts is the most efficient way to put your body into fat burning mode and keep it there for up to 48 hours. (Yes, fat burning for 48 HOURS! Can I get a “woot woot”??)
Above, you can see a sprint workout that I wrote for myself and my husband to do at the park recently while our boys played on the nearby playground. It could have easily been done in our front yard or in our house running up our stairs! 🙂
If you don’t have kettlebells or know how to use them properly, there is an alternative fat burning workout listed below:
- 10 fast squats (no jumping, just squat as fast as you can with good form)
- 10 jump squats
- 10 plyometric lunges
- 20 mountain climbers
- 40-yard sprint
- Rest until you’re ready to go again!
Do this 8 times and it will likely take you less than 20 minutes.
With the kettlebells movements in there, it took my hubby and I right at 24 minutes to complete. This workout did its’ job! We were breathless, muscles were burning, and we were drenched from head to toe! A fat burning workout can certainly be short and sweet!
Give this workout a try, and once you complete it, make sure to leave me a comment or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know how you did!
